Geocaching is an outdoor “scavenger hunt” for GPS users who “search” for a
hidden treasure left by others via GPS waypoints found on the site. There
are over 440,000 caches worldwide, and nearly 1000 in Lake County.
Geocaching sites can be several steps from the road, or a long hike. Free
membership and searchable by zipcode.
