New Accent aluminum kayak paddle featuring an ergonomic grip offering bent shaft performance - at an economical price! The Accent Energy Aluminum breakdown paddle with Advantage Grip technology now brings the ergonomic benefits of a bent shaft paddle at an economical price.
Bent shaft technology is considered to be an ergonomic, user-friendly design. By offsetting the paddler's wrist angle and guiding hand placement, stress is reduced on the shoulders and forearms, creating a more enjoyable paddling experience.Accent Paddle's new Energy Series recreates the "bent shaft" design without the high costs. They accomplished this by taking a standard, straight paddle, and simulating the bent shaft design via a soft rubber grip. Accent's Advantage Grip technology features an ergonomic 7° wrist offset angle which lessens forearm, wrist and shoulder fatigue. The rubber grip material is vibration dampening with a soft feel, reducing strain as well minimizing temperature fluctuations on the shaft. The positioning of the grip also forces proper hand placement, ensuring longer more enjoyable outings with less stress on joints.
The Energy Aluminum paddle features an aircraft-grade aluminum shaft with a fiberglass-reinforced blade. A simple, push-button ferrule offers three blade angle settings for straight, left or right feathering. The blade is the perfect size for most kayaking situations and a great entry-level paddle. The Energy Aluminum features 4pc breakdown construction for portability in a 230cm length.
