I LOVE these kayaks. This was an amazing deal on an incredible product.
As a reasonably experienced hardshell kayaker, and after thinking about an inflatable for a while I took the plunge of the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Sport DS. I am pleased to report that I have been very pleasantly surprised by its performance and comfort. While my 15' hardshell has some advantages, portability is not one of them and the AE Advanced Frame Sport has good tracking and is pretty quick through the water. I ordered the kayak and 4 piece paddle combo. The paddle supplied was not one of the two models stated on the website (Cannon Cascade 230cm 4 piece breakdown paddle, or Advanced Elements Voyager 230cm 4 piece breakdown paddle) but an Air Kayaks model I can't find on their website. On the plus side, it is a 4-piece paddle which packs down into the Kayak pack and not too heavy (1.1kg) but it does not seem to be a great paddle - certainly I am slower through the water with it than with the paddle I usually use with the other kayak. I would have preferred to have one of the paddles advertised. Air Kayaks processed the order quickly and the kayak was on the road only a day or so after I ordered it. The courier didn't hit the advertised 'two-day delivery' but I had it within a week, so not too bad. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and looking forward to being able to hit the water in out of the way places much more easily.
Love the kayak. These are one of the best inflatable kayaks available. I did not get my paddle with my order.
Really happy with the ease of set-up and use of my Advanced Frame Sport DS. The drop stitch floor and metal frame help it to glide through the water very nicely. Deflation and folding back up are easy too, I can actually get it back into it’s bag without much struggle. I purchased this kayak after going through three cheap ($100) inflatables and it seems like this one will be much more durable.
We have not used the kayak yet but the kayak was delivered fast. Had a small issue and the customer service person was outstanding. I would definitely do business with them again.
