Weighing 26 lbs, Airkayaks MakoDS Lightweight Inflatable Kayak is an upgraded version of Kokopelli's Moki Lite. It is an extremely versatile, high-pressure dropstitch floor inflatable kayak featuring an open cockpit.
Three air chambers (one inflatable floor and 2 separate side chambers) utilize D7 Leafield military style valves. The AirKayaks MakoDS construction consists of a 1,000 denier reinforced PVC bottom which can be inflated to 6 PSI (dropstitch floor). The pontoons are constructed with 840 denier nylon and include separate internal 1 to 2 PSI PVC bladders (2 pontoon chambers). The inflatable floor is made of a rigid high-pressure drop-stitch floor to give the kayak a more rigid hull enhancing speed and tracking in the water.A symmetrical (front/back) narrow trim allows the kayak to cut through the water with ease. This streamlined shape helps improve both the speed and tracking.The AirKayaks MakoDS has a 6-point quick-attach bungee storage system on both the front and back deck of the kayak. The bungee is connected at the end with a male-female ¾” buckle for quickly securing gear.The comfortable EVA seat comes with quick-clip attachments to secure the seat in place. The seat is adjustable forward and backwards based on the paddlers height, and includes a bottom velcro attachment to keep the seat from slipping front/back if the boat gets wet. The included foot brace also offers quick-clip attachments that attach to multiple daisy chain loops, allowing the paddler to adjust the length based on the leg length of the paddler.

Just got my MakoDS over the weekend and this review will probably get updated after I get it out on the water. Order came in fast and I inflated per the directions which seemed easy enough. Kokpelli seat was easy to adjust, install, and comfortable. The cup holder was also easy to install and I love that it holds a 32oz hydro flask. Kayak felt like it fit me perfectly. I'm 5'3 and 200lbs. Boyfriend tried it and he's 6'0 and felt it too small for his frame. Deflation was easy but getting it in the bag was a really frustrating. Someone should design a cinch top bag which I think would be ideal for this. Overall I'm really glad I went with the MakoDS because over the sea eagle 300x because I feel like it's overall more it's more aestheticly beautiful, has paddle holders, grips on the side and not just front and back, and easier for me to handle weight. I can't wait to hit the water but the season is pretty much over in Colorado so once I do though I'll update my review.

I have never owned a kayak before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Turns out it was a great experience. I know I'm going to really have a good time with it.
I drive a sedan & never wanted all the hassle of trying to load a kayak onto the top. Problem solved ! My airkayak goes with me in the bag, less than 10 minute inflate time before I'm on the water! Best purchase I've made in long time!
I love the kayak. I am a bigger guy so it gives me enough room. Tracks well on the water. Great quality built kayak.
